False allegations against Chris Bennetts by internet stalker.

I have been the target of a known internet troll and Cyber Stalker for a number of years now who has published many false allegations about me, and dozens of other expats in the Philippines. In the past I worked with a number of other expats to get the false allegations removed including the many fake accounts and profiles he uses.

We were successful at getting just about everything removed only to see him rebuild them again on other web addresses. For him it was a game and we all decided to stop playing his game.

Unfortunately some of the allegations have caused me grief and a few days ago they reared their ugly head again when I client came across them. For this reason I have decided to make a couple of videos to put them to rest for good.

In this first video I will deal with the arrest warrant and provide conclusive evidence that the allegation that I am a wanted criminal. I will show that the arrest warrant did exist for a short period in 2009 and that when I found out about it, I dealt with it immediately in a court of law and had the case dismissed.

The nature of the arrest warrant was a simply a vendetta from a vindictive ex-girl friend. The charges related to not paying child support and stalking. My ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend disappeared with my child after I made the first monthly payment of 50,000 pesos. My attempts to locate my child are the basis for the charge of stalking which is laughable.
I am forced to put publish this but do not want to open old wounds with my ex-girlfriend and her partner. I now have a new family, and from what I understand they still together and now living in Thailand.

I think this quote sums up much of our previous experience:
“Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.”

Youtility – The idea of marketing by being useful

I just finished reading Youtility by Jay Baer. When I started this book it did not seem to be talking about anything new. Basically Jay explained that there are only two avenues for marketing your business online today.  You can either be amazing or useful. Not everyone can be amazing and its far from being an exact science. Being useful on the other hand is something just about any business can do.

Marketing is About Help not Hype

Youtility is the idea of marketing by providing useful information. This is what many others would describe as adding or providing value. It is important to understand that this is more than just content marketing.

As I got into the book there was a lot of good information, especially on how the marketing and sales process has fundamentally changed. How the sales person is now often the very last step in the purchase process, only approached (somewhat reluctantly) after 60% or more, of the purchase decision has been made.

Today more people conduct online research and consulting with others before they make direct contact with a seller.

The book is backed up with solid stats and lots of examples. To me it was preaching to the converted.

20 Japanese Electronics companies currently in China are considering relocating their operations to the Philippines

According to Francisco Ferrer from Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. (PhilExport) trustee representing the electronics sector, some 20 Japanese electronics companies currently in China have expressed interest in relocating their operations in the Philippines next year.

“There are renewed interests among the Japanese companies especially those that are located in China to transfer (their bases) from China to the Philippines or to Vietnam or Indonesia,” he said.
He went on to say that some of these companies have started relocating in the country this year and more are coming in 2016 amid higher wages in China and quality of Filipino talent pool.

“Wages are steady, our history will tell us that increases in wages here are not drastic… That is very useful if you are in manufacturing because you can plan better on your costs, how much you are going to sell your products; you can project,” he said.

Ferrer said Japanese investors also considered “ideal” the manpower stability in the Philippines.
“While they are watching the policies of the government, they do not want inconsistent policies, their ultimate requirement is still good, productive workers. (They also prefer) improved infrastructure so movement of products will be cheaper,” he added.

Investment from each company could range from $20 million to $100 million and are expected to generate 25,000 new jobs next year. Laguna, Batangas and Cavite are the preferred location for most of the companies due to infrastructure support.

Marketing by standing out with a better story

I have finished reading; Make Your Idea Matter by Bernadette Jiwa, and found it very enlightening. I got a lot of ideas from the book but the main one is that most people do not buy based on logical evaluation of the available offers, they go with who tells the best story.

“You can’t learn to be passionate, but you can learn how to communicate the passion you already have, by telling the best story you can tell.”

There is nothing new in this. It’s all been said before, but there is a difference between being aware of something and really getting it. The book has helped me get it.
The path to success is littered with great ideas poorly marketed. Don’t let yours be one of them.
